Mike Munson is a licensed attorney practicing law in southern Vermont. Prior to joining the firm,
Mike was a Deputy State’s Attorney for Bennington County. At the SA’s office, Mike tried
over 20 criminal cases, including serious felonies. He has written numerous legal briefs,
and has argued in front of the Vermont Supreme Court. He represented the State in
post-conviction relief actions in the Superior Court. Mike also had the rare privilege of
working on Vermont v. Brillon, an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mike studied government and environmental planning at The University of Virginia, and earned
his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law.

			From 2004 to 2007, Mike practiced law at the Washington DC law firm Venable LLP. His practice focused on white collar criminal defense, environmental law, and regulatory law, although he also volunteered his time pro bono for clients in matters ranging from child custody disputes to social security benefit appeals. Mike lives in Bennington with his wife, Kristen, and his son, Douglas. When he’s not at the office or in court, Mike enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, hiking, fishing, gardening, and playing tennis. Mike is active in the community, and is a member of the Bennington Bar Association and the Bennington Young Professionals.
